Welcome to The Romance Rescuers Blog!  We’d like to start by personally thanking you for taking the time to read about this exciting new resource.

Developing an understanding of romance and relationships is tricky business.  It’s a struggle that is all too common and the proof isn’t hard to find.  Just walk into a bookstore and look at how many people are perusing the seemingly endless rows of relationship self-help books.  People go there looking for answers but often end up leaving more confused than when they walked in.

So what is romance anyways?

The dictionary tells us that romance is a noun, referring to “a medieval tale based on legend and chivalric love and adventure.”  In all honesty, this is probably how most people think of romance.  As some perfect “ideal” that only exists in fairytales and movies like The Notebook.

But as great as these stories are, they aren’t the best places to learn about love and relationships in the real world.  That’s where we come in.

The purpose of this blog is to provide you with the real-world tips, insights, and guidance that we use as marriage therapists to help you better navigate the minefields of love.  Our goal is to teach you how to treat romance like a verb.  Something that can be actively pursued through actions and behaviors.

Ultimately, we want to help you rediscover the joys of love, and to rebuild and repair your relationships even if they are currently a struggle and the future seems uncertain.

We are here to support you and answer your questions.  So please, reach out to us through the comment boards or through email.   Tell us what you what you need, and we will do our best to be that resource.

If you like what you see so far, take some time to look around and don’t forget to subscribe!
